Background:
Lifebit has developed the world’s first federated genomics platform for unified and secure research over distributed big data, wherever the data resides, and their technology helps pioneers in national precision medicine such as Genomics England (UK Government) and Biotech and pharma leaders like Boehringer Ingelheim, to connect them to this otherwise locked up data to obtain novel therapeutic insights.
Lifebit has grown fast since inception and in Sept 2021 received over $70m of Round B funding to further grow headcount, particularly in their agile software engineering teams, who are remotely based across the globe.
Challenge:
Building new engineering teams at pace with the right skills in a competitive market is always challenging, even more so when the organisation is relatively unknown outside of its niche, and when cultural fit and the right attitude to help build new teams is so vital to achieve Lifebit’s mission.
The Solution:
We worked closely with Lifebit’s HR and Engineering teams to define right cultural fit for working within Lifebit’s fast paced and mission-critical platform environment. Video shortlists were introduced to shorten time to hire and free up the Squad Leads valuable time.
A focussed social media campaign with video complimented a comprehensive global search for Software Developers, Scrum Masters, QA’s and DevOps Engineers, using novel personalised video out reaches to individuals, providing Lifebit with market insights and post placement surveys and feedback data.
Employer Value Propostion ("EVP") / Digital Assets:
To communicate to candidates Lifebit's mission, values, culture, tech stack, remote-first working and diverse workforce, Inspire People produced two unique digital assests for Lifebit.
Firstly, an EVP Video shot at their London HQ and, secondly, a fully customisable Job Brochure, to replace traditional, one dimensional Job Descriptions.
