Bank of England and Inspire People are partnering together to attract two high-calibre Lead Business Analysts with expert process mapping skills to enable a complex HR Business function transform their User Experience service and platform to create and deliver a streamlined process. You will play a pivotal role in an organisation at the front row for the digitalisation of the financial sector and the UK economy. Up to £75k basic plus excellent benefits including a 8% cash benefits allowance, an annual bonus and pension. Hybrid working opportunities are available with 2 days a week working from the Bank's London site. 21 Months Fixed Term Contract.

Lead Business Analyst will work on one of two critical change projects that sit within the People Directorate/HR Function and will be instrumental in analysing and documenting change requirements using advanced Business Analyst skills. They will communicate and challenge both functional and technical stakeholders to elicit and remove efficiencies to improve the business processes and transform the customer experience. As this is a Lead and a stand-alone Business Analyst role working within a functional department, you will need to have a deep understanding of Business Process techniques including BPMN, Lean/Six Sigma and exceptional communication skills.
As a Lead Business Analyst within the Bank, role responsibilities will be to:- Act as the accountable person for all the business process related issues on the chosen HR Project.
- Provide support to the People Directorate on the direction the project needs to take by providing informed insight on a variety of topics.
- Draw on understanding of People's roadmaps to shape business processes to ensure the right outcome, for example simplifying and removing inefficiencies.
- Bring together a joined-up view of business processes that may impact multiple business areas, for example process hierarchies and traceability to other artefacts.
- Review business processes before they are sent to senior stakeholders to ensure accuracy and consistency and alignment to wider strategic aims.
- Run the end-to-end approach to business process analysis and design on the Project.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable experience of showing strong career development as a Process Expert / Lead Business Analyst
- Detailed understanding of BPMN 2.0 and its application.
- Experience of working with cross-functional teams to map complex processes, identifying pain points and bottlenecks.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills at all levels including leading workshops with senior stakeholders to extract key information.
- Experience of managing complexity, change and having an awareness of the associated technical impacts to the organisation
- Highly collaborative attitude and team working skills to facilitate expert opinions (such as with Architects, security consultants, Technology domain leads etc.) communicating these to functional, non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to multi-task and work in an environment with multiple reporting lines.
- Process Certifications (Six Sigma / Lean or equivalent)
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- Experience of working within HR and liaising with HR teams
- Experience of working on complex projects surrounding pensions and/or recruitment
