The Department of International Trade ("DIT"), re-named Department for Business and Trade in March 2023, was formed in 2016 with a single focus on enabling the UK to trade independently when it exited the EU.
DIT’s Digital, Data and Technology team was formed with the vision to be a strategic enabler for DIT and businesses to promote trade internationally, grow UK prosperity, and have global competitive advantage using digital, data, user-centred design and technology.
Last year marked big changes for Inspire People. We regrouped and refocused to create a new offer that builds on our strong foundations in providing talent and advisory services to the technology sector and the public sector and expands into our vision for technology as a catalyst for a better world
Covering services and outcomes such as Service Delivery, Software Development, Support and Operations, plus specialist skills including Agile Coaches, Data Architects and Developers, Inspire People will support the Public Sector through the agreement to achieve maximum commercial value when procuring common goods and services through the Digital Outcomes and Specialists framework.
Our Projects service is up and running; it seems like such an obvious and natural progression for our business and represents such a clear alignment with how we already support and work with our clients. Our placement on CCS's Digital Outcomes and Digital Specialists Framework (DOS5) was a further validation that we are ideally placed to offer the public sector excellent value for money and a level of flexibility and innovation that could help them deliver greater efficiency from their IT environment.

Our expert team
We've welcomed Associate Directors David Ardley and Rob Jones to our Projects team; both bring vast experience driving vast digital transformation within organisations with complex IT environments. Dave and Rob have worked in consultancy and in-house, bringing valuable insights into the best way to deliver value throughout the life of digital transformation projects.
The work they've delivered for Genomics England is a testament to their ability to create a high-performing and efficient IT environment from a standing start. At Genomics England, they delivered a cloud strategy to futureproof and support the migrations of applications from legacy infrastructure, implemented real-time IT financials by implementing data analytics and developed highly efficient storage and HPC for the 5M Genome project. The work expanded to include delivering an AWS research facility within three months to support 500 external researchers working on Covid-19. They also successfully implemented an agile Dev Ops team, improving productivity 5-fold within a year.
